Brentford stopper Sam Sodje has revealed that both West Ham and Blackburn are lining up to sign him in the summer.

The 26-year-old has had an impressive season for Martin Allen's side, missing just four games of their League One campaign this season.

However The Bees failed to achieve promotion as they exited the play-offs to Sheffield Wednesday, and could now be set to lose their star defender.

Sodje revealed that both clubs were tracking his progress, although insisted that Mark Hughes' side were in the ascendancy as they had tabled the best offer.

Alan Pardew's Hammers have also not yet achieved promotion, and it seems as though they must see off Preston in the Championship play-off final if they are to have any chance of signing the player.

"Blackburn have made the most significant offer so far," revealed Sodje.

"West Ham's play-off game will decide how far I go with them."

Showing great loyalty to Martin Allen, then isn't our Sam. Plucked from the obscurity of a failing, relagated club (sorry Margit fans) to the football league, then after one season sells himself to the highest bidder.

Bit of a shame the 'Gits didn't have a sell on clause. Had they known then about his mercanary attitude, what they know now, I'm sure the blues wouldn't have been quite so keen on his "promotion"

Er, Gary, if you had the opportunity to move from the sixth level of English football to regular first team action in the third level, and then potentially on to the Premiership, would you turn it down?

He's not exactly Lee Elam or Jefferson Louis, is he? <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" />
