Worthing Walk - penultimate update

Many of you may recall that when we finished the sponsored walk to Worthing three weeks ago we had to finish the last 12 miles without BFR whose injured feet stopped him joining us on the Saturday. He was gutted at not being able to complete the total distance and we were equally disappointed that we couldn't cross the finish line together as a group.

 

This morning, however, BFR completed the remaining 12 miles into Worthing he was unable to walk on the day so can rightly claim to have walked the full distance. And, I'm also really pleased that the remaining five walkers (me, Dom, Martin, Liam & Radders) were able to join him so we achieved what we set out to do and arrived at Woodside Road together at approximately 2.45pm today.

The final update will be in a few weeks when I will give details of the final sum we've raised.

Thanks to the rest of the guys for giving up their time this weekend and putting their hands in their pockets for accomodation so that we could do this. I was chuffed that you all agreed to do it and am delighted to have put to rest the disappointment of not finishing the walk at the first time of asking.

well done BFR , your a star...and we know how disapointed your were on the orginal day, but to go back and finish the job, takes a big heart and dedication, as I said on the orginal day ..you did what a lot of other people could or would not do !
