How can you not have faith in a board of directors who are putting money where their mouth is and bringing the club home, all this talk is just completely useless and boring. The only thing that it can be is down putting to the people who are putting all the time into the club. As for you JKMaskell, can you please find something positive to say about the club, you havent stopped since you've come on here. Why can't people just accept that the stadium is going ahead and everything is under control. We will be back at Hartsdown park and we will be playing Ryman league football

The club is inundated with debt and facing the prospect of being closed down before this coming season starts. Thats the reason why some would not have faith in the Board. This question is designed so that it gives a proper choice and a better question (no offence rayw).

 

The Board has withdrawn the health centre part from the plans due to traffic concerns. That suggests to me that the Board has been far too optimistic which right now isnt the best strategy. They hung onto that idea for a long time. Its a good decision but much too late.

 

As for the part about everything being under control it appears that in fact thats very much wrong. Margate FCs finances arent.

It is not unreasonable to ask questions. The last couple of years have seen the old ground demolished with no planning permission for a new one. The club had to quit the Conference and unpaid wages meant there was, and still is, a transfer embargo. We are now in administration. On top of that we were relegated last season which puts us on the third tier of non-league football – the same as ten years ago. That's quite a list. Is it all bad luck or someone else's fault?

Tony, I couldnt care less whether Im getting to you. The truth is you dont like hearing things as they are. This poll was put there as a replacement of rayw's. The question in fact is balanced so whats the problem?

 

Look at the facts. The club is in a tremendous amount of debt right now...400 grand has been mentioned. The club is in administration due to a creditor threatening a lawsuit for money owed. Lets not forget the fact that in the past 7 years there have been 2 winding up petitions. The club has a minimal income. The only solid source of revenue appears to be from its Golden Gate and from what Ive seen from where I work, thats become less reliable. KP promised to pay the players bills recently...wheres the money coming from? The Council has no money at all and is owed five years rent and rates (there is no agreement to avoid payment). Two directors are connected by family and one one of them was bankrupt, with no actual confirmation that he has had his bankrupt status lifted. That completely blows apart the idea of full credibility. The club has hookwinked and manipulated the fans into thinking the club is the vicim in the negotiations. The truth is that the club has demanded ridiculous terms from the Council.

 

If you have a problem with me thats your problem. I didnt ask for you to start slagging me off so I'd be grateful if you wouldnt kick off everytime we talk about the current MFC situation.

JKMaskell,all I am saying is what are YOU wanting to do about it.Im saying to you why come on this forum,it sounds like your stiring the [****!!****],why not go to the board at MFC if you think YOU can do any better,if you can and do so then most fans would back you I am sure but every time you post on here all you have to say is bad things about our club,thats why I say to you put up or s##t up,and belive me I dont mean to be rude about this.

I have been quiet lately and just taking in all these posts. Mainly from JK Maskell. I have to agree with the majority and with Tony M when they say to you that if its worrying you, as a distant fan that is, then go and seek your answers direct from the man himself. Am sure that he,with his full knowledge of things will put you and your posts to shame. You come across as someone who is articulate but KP will make you look like a complete idiot if you did face him with your remarks. Things are not as good as we would like, of course that is so, but to say the club is in a perilous position just isnt true.

Can you change the record please as,like others say,its getting boring now. I think I have been very polite here with you. You have made your point now over and over again and so now can you talk about something that we can all debate with in a way that people dont have to have a go at each other. You are inviting it all the time. Would make a change wouldnt it? Please seek your answers with KP himself. We are not in the position that we would like to be in but the truth is is that we are starting to run now after the walking, so to speak. There is nothing to be concerned with regards this club at the moment.

Taking away the med.centre is just another way of trying to get the council to see sense and to make a decision in our favour. I see this move as a good one and its something the council will find hard to ignore this time. Its all for the good of this club and its future. Can we now move on please from your continual & consistent club bashing posts.

Sorts out that one then, the forum has faith in the current Board of Directors. I wont criticise the poll too much but bear in mind there were only 18 votes. I accept the result.

Partly because I expected everybody to have voted before the end of the weekend. Its only meant to be a snap poll. Those who frequent this forum would have seen the poll this weekend.

 

I think this is the end of the discussion abou the poll. I cant be bothered to argue about the results. As cookie said, we need to move on.
