But Hodges, who is considered a star player for the club, is growing increasingly frustrated by the lack of information and could be heading elsewhere.

Strange... when some people on the forum have shown their concern about whether Deaner will be funding us next season, the only credible answer we've had is that according to Roy's notes in the Heybridge programme, Deaner has personally promised him that he will 'battle on for at least another twelve months, adding finance to our cause'

If this is meant to be the 'guarantee' that we will be OK for next season then why hasn't Roy spoken to hodgey to re-assure him.

Something more to this than meets the eye....

Martyn says lots of things, some that get followed through and some that don't. If I was Roy I wouldn't guarantee anything on the back of what I'm told might happen.

Great article by Hodgie note he wants an answer by 15th of june the same time as the supporters agm as I have inquired in a previous thread hope some one from the club can be invited to this meeting to let us know whats happening to the club in the short term at least.

Will be a sad day for the club and supporters if we lose one or more of our star players.

Do we have to go through another terbulent summer of discontent.

What Deaner has said in the past is, if he has the money he will fund us but he cannot guarantee this because if a deal or deals goes down then he probably won't be able to afford to.

The fans, club and players have to live with this premis.

Seems strange that Hodgey has said that he wants an answer by the 15th June when he should already know this situation and unless the club/trust has the money available for next season, in which case surely they would have told Hodgey, then the club will not be able to promise anything and it's goodbye Hodgey.

A gun to the head by Hodgey but you can't blame him trying to secure his future specially as some conference clubs are showing interest.

Seems he's been asking for alot of the things some fans on the message board have been. Although going to the press isn't perhaps the best way to do it put yourself in his boots and i'm sure you did the same. After all he hinted that he could be earning more money spending more time at his day job than splitting it between his day job and the footie.

Wouldn't mind him leaving you however! He is a great player!
