Finally managed to catch the Magic Numbers video last night - first time I'd actually heard the song as well. They look like a right bunch of hairy hippies - I quite liked it!!! <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

 

Bought the Duke Spirt album last week - what a corker!! I wish I'd of gone to that free gig they did in HMV on Oxford Street now!!

 

Nine Black Alps - bought their latest single on Monday, and I must admit I'm looking forward to their debut which is out next month - lovely stuff!!

 

My brother is trying to convince me that the Subways are good - but I'm not keen really. One album, by a relatively new group, that I can't stop listening to is the Engineers debut. What a marvellous bit of music - especially the final track - "One in Seven".

I brought that Magic Numbers single on Tuesday, corking stuff, it gets played quite a lot on Radio 6. The Pipettes are currently supporting them on tour.

 

Heard a Aussie band called The Spazzys on Radio 6 and a band called The Lodger, both are good.

 

Saw The Subways live, if seeing a girl in a mini skirt play bass is your thing it's quite an eye opener, they are OK, they are from an AL postcode as well (Welwyn G C)

They are another all girl band, they remind me of a slightly punky Pipettes, there is some of thier music on www.spazzys.com

 

They are playing Bull and Gate tonight but quite early so I'll check them out next time they play in the UK

From what I've heard, I would say mine is either Let There Be Love or Keep the Dream Alive.

I like the Magic Numbers, they're very similar to the poyphonic spree. The Acracde Fire are good too. Are they canadian?

I'm liking that We Are Scientists track. Nobody Move I think its called. Really good.
