For those that were not there on Saturday, I was told those irrigation pipes will run diagonally across the pitch, and the drainage water will be channelled into a holding tank from where the water can be recycled back to irrigate the turf. Ingenious and rather green, eh?

Are they working Bank Holiday Monday or over the weekend? Still a long long way to go to be ready for the start of the season. Time is of the essence and we cannot afford to lose another 3 days. I am still not convinced the deadlines will be met. Yes another anon pessimist, or should it be realist, but I hope to God I am proved wrong. <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/confused.gif" alt="" />

I am told that the contractors have been told that they must reach the deadline because the top soil will be laid next week ready for the turf. I believe that they are working at least through the weekend.

How true this is remains to be seen.
