...and quite right too. We all knew the requirements at the start of last season for Champions League qualification.

 

Saying that, I do believe the 4th Champions League place, as CANV said a while back, should go to the FA Cup winners in future.

 

I don't know how many games Everton lost in the league this season (14 at a guess?), but that's not really the stuff of "champions" is it?

 

Give the 4th spot to the FA Cup Winners, and watch the magic of the FA Cup return.

Liverpool lost 20 games all season and they are "champions"

 

Give another of the places to the league cup winners and watch them second strings phased out.

 

Personally I think they will give Liverpool a place, they will reduce our UEFA cup quota by one and do some deal with Wales or somewhere. Everyone knows these countries go out in the qualifing rounds so say to Wales that they get our UEFA place and a bye to the 3Q round, 9 out of 10 teams in Wales would take that as you'd end up with more or less all the big boys in there rather than losing to the champions of Estonia in front of 400 people

UEFA have re-iterated this morning that won't happen. I do hope not!!
