When Real Madrid won the Champions League a few years ago they finished 5th and were still kept I the Champions League and Real Zaragosa who finished 4th were put into the UEFA Cup on the orders of the Spanish FA.

 

The FA should have the guts to do the samething but they haven't the guts to do it instead they pass it on to the UEFA.

 

The Champions League winners should take preference to the 4th placed team everytime.

the FA made a statement that only the top 4 will qualify for the champions league unless England can be given a 5th spot from UEFA, well before the end of the football season. UEFA are set to meet on the 17th where they will probably decide to let Liverpool enter in the 1st round of qualifying.

 

so in all likelihood Liverpool will be in the competition if they aren't it is purely down to them not qualifying.

no one will miss out. the only people that might suffer is the team that they are to play in the first round as they will get Liverpool rather than say the all girl champions of Kazakhstan. but the extra revenue will more than make up for that.

Liverpool are probably less entertaining aswell
