What a great performance from all the lads, thought that we wiped the with them.Bit worried when they scored, we really have to keep our concentration after we score,we do all the hard work then let a silly goal in.But after that we were supreme, seen sodje play in the reserves and he is a quick boy and very strong, and cant he hit a ball.we really do have to keep the ball better,we giveit away too cheaply, but all in all well done to all lads.

CMON YOU REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEDS

Shouldn't really criticise a 4 : 1 win but i thought we hit too many long balls today especially in the first half.

Right, thats the moan out of the way now the good stuff. 100% effort start to finish from everyone, I thought Che looked sharp throughout, Tostao looked dangerous and caused them lots of problems and who is this Sodje? I haven't seen him before but he seemed to link really well with Che and Tostao and what a great goal.

I know its still early days in this league but we have seen a few teams now and frankly I haven't seen anything to be scared of. There's not many teams we can't spank on a good day ( or lose to on a bad one ) we just need to have more good days than bad ones.

Start of the season I would have been happy to avoid relegation now I'm looking forward to midtable obscurity another few matches like today and I am going to start getting greedy.

No complaints about the result as it was thoroughly deserved on the day. But lets face it if you couldnt beat us today you would have been a bad team. We were an absolute disgrace and are beginning to look like a decent Dr Martens side at best!! Today was even worse than last weeks humiliation against Hereford with the manager persisting in adopting the wrong tactics and playing players out of position. We the fans are unanimous in these views and expect changes at the top is these disgraceful performances continue.

Well played again today but you wont have an easier game all season. Dont get carried away!

Considering that they (Nuneaton) beat Dagenham midweek,

I will treat his (Boro fan) comments with the contempt they deserve.

We would appear to have a very good side ,

I can't wait until the walking wounded return.....

.....but then again, who would you drop?

Another good all round performance by the Fleet which made the opposition look rather ordinary. Our makeshift defence worked well to prevent Nuneatons lively strike force of Harris and Quayle from getting into the game. The midfield battle was won from the 1st minute with Mckimm & Strouds making some crunching tackles and taking full control of the midfield. Che & Boothy carried on with their good form and a comfortable win was the result.

Well done lads, with 2 away matches coming up 4 points from these games is not unreasonable to hope for and a top ten position at the end of September looks very promising.

Well Daz, Francis will simply have to return, and despite Lew Watts' recent good performances (he was superb again yesterday), I suspect he will have to make way, and when the back line is 100% fit, Nick Burton or Aaron will almost certainly partner the mighty Fridge. Matt Lee (now one of your favourites, Daz? ) should return too when fit, with Skins returning to his favoured spot at left-back.

Unfortunately, it will be tougher for players in other positions who are set to return, I feel. Danny Lye will probably struggle to get a regular first team spot, with Bentley, McKimm and Rob Owen (a strong contender for yesterday's MOTM, in my view) all ahead of him in the pecking order for a central midfield berth.

In addition, after seeing the thunderbolt shot that Akpo Sodje possesses, I wonder whether Liam might miss out too. While his commitment and effort is second to none, he still scores few goals (none so far this season), while Che has proved that he can consistently find the net. It is no coincidence that almost as soon as Che returned to the starting line-up, our finishing has become far more clinical. Having said that, I have only seen Akpo play once, and so I still don't know whether he will be a consistent performer or an occasional star. Still, it's better to have too many players available than not enough.

I thought we played well yesterday, but as for the Boro' fan above slating his own side, I thought they looked fairly impressive in the first half, with good balls down the flanks on many occasions. Nonetheless, we undoubtedly ruled the day, with a superb strike from Sodje. His entertaining corner flag celebration was surpassed only by the inventive crawling celebration employed by the fantastically skilled Tostao - a superb day.

Agree with most of the above - but I think Aaron might be the one to miss out (if last season is anything to go by) - Liam will possibly miss out too - apparently Sodje scored in both reserve games that he played in too.

My first XI:

Wilkerson, Lee, Duku, Burton, Skinner, Kwashi, McKimm, Owen, Jackson, Sodje, Stadhart...

Matt Lee has been my 'most-improved player' of the season so far. I had some serious doubts about the boy last season, but if he resumes from injury with the same level of performance thus so far this season, then I will be happy!

Isn't it nice when Jimmy Jackson doesn't stand out above the rest very often? Means the overall quality of the team has improved!!!

Well I would certainly pay good money to watch Super Daz's team and I would agree that Barnett, Bentley, Watts and Strouts would be unlucky not to be playing, I would add Hatch, Wilkins and Booth to the unlucky list too.

Its great to have so much competition for places and I think if everyone was fit there are only two certainties in the side....Jacko because he's captain and Duku because who the hell would tell him he wasn't in.

Talking of competition for places any news on the Hamed Barr front?

I think, to some extent, the "best" team would be the one for each occasion. I'm sure there would be times when the flair players get chosen & other times when the tough tacklers get selected, as happened last season - there isnt therefore, a "right" and "wrong" answer to the "best team" argument.

Any first XI of mine must contain Strouts McKimm & Bentley in midfield.

That is the engine room of the whole team, and IMHO if you don't have at least 2 of those 3 then it doesn't matter who you have up front, they won't get sufficient service.

The big advantage of the number of good midfield players we have is that when Jacko gets his invetiable kicking we don't have to rely on him (or anyone else) playing injured, we can give them time to rest and recuperate as we have with Mark Bentley these last two games.

Can I just echo my young friend's congratulations on you finding your feet at last amongst the big boys of the Conference. You seem to have got a pretty good side there so I expect to see you follow in D&R's footsteps and show them what ex-Ryman teams are all about. Who knows, we may be joining you next season but it is still very early days, mustn't get too carried away yet.

Just like to congratulate GNFC on the game on Saturday, you played us off the park (whether we played well or not!) and your fans are a credit to the club. Unfortunately Manor Park is segregated always so for those top lads we had a beer with on Saturday, you'll have to go to the [****!!****] and Bear before and after the game.

Good luck for the rest of the season (I'm sure you'll do better than us!)
