Oooh, you tease! OK, given that Jim Parmenter had not yet returned to Dover in May last year, can you confirm or deny that he was one of the major shareholders?

Given that many supporters in the club already have reason to not like me (I got that feeling at the meeting last night when joining the MISA), my understanding is that its perhaps not the best thing to name names.

Does anybody here have a problem with me posting say the top ten...names and number of shares only.

I wouldn't say anything mr maskell. I dont know you personally but info like that is for the shareholders to broadcast if they wish. If people want to do a company house check then thats fine but its not up to you to tell everyone.

I agree with you here. Anonymous, it may well be in the public interest to know but Im not authorised to give the information. Hell I doubt it was right for me to tell you how many shareholders there were back in May 2004.

If you want I can let you know outside here how to get the information (send me an email-look at my profile), as it can be a little complicated on the site, but I wont give anymore information on this site nor any details on the information itself. Its simply not my place.

Im off to Westwood Cross. I know it has been said here and elsewhere that some people could stand around with literally a couple of buckets collecting for MFC. This is a great idea and I would gladly help out with that. Ive got lots of free time coming and I need to do something. Perhaps Westwood Cros could be a place to do that.

JK, that's fine, I respect your decision.

However, I will be going to the Companies House website, or maybe ordering the documents through the post, and posting any public info that I feel will be of interest to our fans on here.

Looks as though it's the most viewed thread. So perhaps it's you thats a bit out of step with most of Margate's fans.
It's a shame if people are deliberately witholding info on who holds the shares.

No-one is witholding anything, just pay your quid like anyone else if you must. If we had wanted to find out, so could we all, but most of us don't need or want to, as we support the club, see the progress being made, and are quite content.

Personally, I tend to agree with Legend.

Perhaps you might find it in your heart to give it a rest?

Or perhaps you can just get them yourselves and not make comments like that.

Get the information as you please, but I suggest you dont use them against the club. Posting it here will mean nothing. Im sure that some of us regular posters have access to the information already and we know what they say. I dont think the fans will like your being here slagging off the club.

I think he knows that already JK, (we have told him often enough).

He keeps on doing it because he knows we don't like it.

Bit like banging one's head against a brick wall, because we will not alter our opinions, neither will he.

At the end of the day, when the season begins again, we will have better things to talk about, and he will be somewhat redundant.

Apart from satisfying personal curiosity what is the point? Is it going to help the club in any possible way?

Over the past few seasons a considerable amount of money has been put into the club at great personal expense. That money has enabled the club to survive. Without that commitment there would be no football club. I have only the greatest admiration and sincere gratitude for that commitment.

What we need to to talk about is what are we doing in practical ways to raise finance for the club or to help out in whatever ways we can.

All the exciting developments which are going on will need financing.

MISA is making tremendous efforts and needs as much help and support as you can give.

The club needs to attract sponsorship and advertising.

These are the practical things that need action.

If you have a business then why not sponsor, advertise in the club's matchday programme or be a match sponsor?

I have contributed a not insignificant amount of money to the club over the decades that I have been going to Hartsdown.

I've stood in the pouring rain at Hartsdown and many other places to watch the team over many years. Certainly far longer than some of the most shrill voices on this forum.

It does seem perverse that people should seem so hostile to the idea of supporters being given such basic information on the club we all love.

With MISA growing and wanting to donate larger sums to the club over the coming season (something which I applaud them for), it is only right that the fans who will be giving up large amounts of their spare time to help MFC be fully informed on the state of MFC.

I think the point is, its rather sensitive information. Also its not private. Literally I could show you how to get the information, I simply wont tell you it right now in this forum. This is not the place to be discussing those issues. Discussing how Margate FC is going to revive its fortunes is.

The number of shareholders is actually rather irrelevant. Thats not the information which the directors are looking at I can assure you. The accounts are.

Whilst Im sure we'd all love to reach the 100 post mark on this issue but for heaven's sake, lets stop this thread.

I agree with JKM.

This thread needs dropping(i guess the way to do thatis not respond so rather shot myself in da foot.

However, conclusion is that majority of fans are happy with current regime, there is no-one else anyway, as JKM says-steady progress is being made, Directors made mistake 3 years ago but have stood by and endeavoured to correct it at great personal cost and deserve every plaudit and support going.

i just hope the CVA administrator concurs

The list has two pages detailing the names, the adresses and the shares held by each individual shareholder. Its interesting to see who owns how much of the club. Dated 19th May 2004. Bear in mind that while it is public information, this is quite sensitive information and as such, it is advisable to not discuss its contents out in the open. Id rather not have shareholders wanting my guts for garters for telling everyone where they live.

If its public, its not sensitive.

There is a fine line between sensitivity and confidentiality. On this occasion because of the nature of the information (listing who the shareholders are by name and listing addresses and number of shares) this isnt like the annual accounts. While strictly speaking this isnt confidential, the information within it is very sensitive, far too sensitive to post on this forum.

Some of the major shareholders may not want the public to know they have shares in the club. Given the clubs precarious financial position do they want people thinking they are partly responsible for this? The shareholders do own the club. A number of businesses own shares and its not fair to tell people who they are.

No offence is meant in this post to those who have proper IDs and who I can see perhaps might want to see the information without the intention of using it against the club but in my judgement, its not justified to post it here.

It only costs a pound to buy the information for themselves anyway, and as you said its pubic information, therefore they can access it themselves. It took me 10 minutes.
