The Contractors installing the pitch drainage and irrigation system are on site now and remain on programme. Subject only to weather conditions the spreading of topsoil will commence on Tuesday 31 May 2005 with turfing works commencing on Monday 06 June 2005. It is projected that the pitch will be fully laid by 12 June 2005 providing sufficient time for the new surface to settle before use.

The new flood lights have been ordered and are due to be delivered the week commencing 10 June 2005, again in plenty of time for erection and connection.

The new ground capacity will be 2000, 400 of which will be in a seated stand, with provision made for disabled supporters and press. Most other terracing will take the form of uncovered concrete walkways around the pitch.

All temporary cabins including dressing rooms, officials’ room, medical and toilet blocks have been ordered. The required general upgrade to the Hartsdown Road Stand, perimeter fencing and new entrance porch to the Social Club will commence once the pitch works are complete.

It remains our aim to host at least 2 pre-season friendlies before the serious business starts on 20 August 2005.

Don't want to be a git, but, If the capacity is only 2,000 - does this mean that even if we win the league we won't have a ground acceptable to Conference South? Quite an assumption we will win the league but hey - keep the faith. Oh, what does it matter, I am at the point where I don't care if we are in the Kent league so long as we are back home!!!!

Temporary stands mean that more temporary stands can be brought in to put the capacity up if needs be. We wont be in the kent league my old chum. Chin up. Have faith!
