First 20 very good performance, went at them from the start - two excellent early goals from Essandoh and Richard Graham. Sutton battled back into it, but rarely threatened JJ's goal. They only really threatened from set pieces aimed at Mark Watson's head. Another clean sheet - Willo used as an emergency right back with Mcdonald injured! Up to 3rd we go......

John, Brennan, Kerrigan, Penn, Moore, Carthy, Graham, Williams, Charles (Wallace 75), Graham, Essendoh (Fewings HT)

Subs not used: Rantala, Henty, Fay(gk)

comfortable win for town..different class first 25 mins..two fine goals and it looked like we were gonna run up a cricket score...sutton had their best/only spell of the match in the following 1/4 hr..couple of half chances but ntg serious and we finished the half strongly again...2nd half more even but i always felt we were capable of going up a gear if required. we almost got cght out five mins from time, lil reminder to keep concentrating for the whole game.

another clean sheet and the goals against column is looking impressively low thus far and a good team effort today..dont think anyone had a bad game...only possible downer was essandoh coming off injured at half time..does anyone know the scoop on that..will he be fit for tuesday???

well done lads keep it up........

Just one Q.....Lee Williams as an emergency right back. why?

he kept drifting out of postion, yes i know it doesnt matter as we won today but why not play Rantala there, or even henty? seemed strange to play a midfielder there and then leave a defender and a player more capable of playing right back on the bench.

Great start to the game, looked like a goal fest but why didnt Sutton try and get one back?

All in all another great day for the boys and great to see Brennan back.

good stuff

Was surprised Henty didn't play - when McD went off on Tuesday, Henty came on in that position. There was a case for pushing Russell Penn out to right back and bringing in Rantala in the middle, but I guess Penn has been playing so well at centre back, Calder didn't want to move him! Either way it's irrelevent, another clean sheet, only 2 goals conceded from 7 games, only took us 1 game to concede 2 last year! Statto fact, only Harrow and Bedford of the teams we've played so far are in the bottom half.
