A little less self-importance, mike, would go a long way. Most of the abuse you get is usually when you're asking 'how good is this?' or 'hey, am I good with my sources or what?' If you just got on with it, people would leave you alone.

 

But offering to 'announce your decision' at 5pm like people are gonna be tuning in for the result is getting a bit above yourself.

 

Although, being one of those awful, terrible baby-eating anons, I'm sure no-one will consider this.

I don't think I'd use something as 'scientific' as a website poll to decide whether to shut down my site (if I had one) or not, but there you go.

 

I do remember you questioning the worth of the site yourself a while back, admitting that we can just get the news from Dave anyway. Ultimately, the decision should be up to you. It just depends what you see the role of the site as - a news-giving site like the official site, or something more fanzine-based like Whitebucket?

Get a hold of a copy of "No Idea!", Whitbuckets fanzine of the mid-90's. Get a hold of other fanzines, invite some of us to contribute and you could be on to a winner.

 

Oh and think about it as well, that always helps.

I have to say I have never looked at your website and probably never will. However, if you enjoy the day-to-day running of such a thing and enjoy implementing your IT skills, be my guest. If I were you, don't listen to the results of this crappy poll, just do what you want to do.
