Looks like the team could have a strong ex Hertford feel.It looks like the're plumping for a very inexperienced management team.Cooper is a good player though,and i bet he get his brother in as well.

Dave left the club because of the ill discipline of some players that almost cost us promotion. At one stage the squad was pitifully thin because half the team were suspended. It is also the fact the league title was thrown away needlessly that the board came to its decision. The loss to Bedlington in the vase may also have been avoided if two players were available and two more were sent off in this match with dave being one of them.

I'm disappointed he's gone, he did an excellent job considering it was his first season. Still I'm sure we'll get in someone else of a decent standard.

Can't belive he was sacked over discipline. He got EFC promoted for christ sack. I suggest that there mat be other reasons behind it.

 

In any case why are we discussing this on here? Its EFCs problem not ours.

The last sentence sums things up. From what I read in the Gazette over the season one of the worst offenders was the right back.

Er, yes. That was the point to which I was alluding and I think most ETFC/EFC types would have got the joke.

Interesting to note that the local papers are reporting DM's demise as being down to his personal indiscipline, rather than that of the players under his management. Let's hope the club can afford some compensation, it sounds pretty thin to me.

I spoke to someone during the season who hoped that the role at EFC would help him defeat this issue in his life and they were not connected with any particular club. Shame he is a likeable man.

But, reading Dave's comments in the local press it would seem that he doesn;t belive that its the reason for his dismissal. Its also not evident that all of the 'board' were behind the decision.
