Romford Mount Hostile Takeover Bid For Hornchurch

Recommended Posts

It has been reported in the City this afternoon that Romford have mounted a hostile takeover bid for AFC Hornchurch. Reliable sources inform us that the offer is 300 Romford season tickets for every Hornchurch one plus a free burger at every home game. The Hx Chairman Field Marshall Arbuthnut was quoted as saying

'The price will have to go up a bit before we consider it to be a serious bid and in any event their burgers are rancid'

In a further development the well known Romford based International Corporate Raider Zody Trump said

'This is just what the people of Romford need, for to long now these upstart Urchins have been shoving our noses in it and its about time we took them over completely, if we can keep all of their players then the good folk of Romford can watch some decent football for a change'

A City analyst said that Malcome Glazer was watching the events with interest and could be ready to snatch the Hornchurch Gem from under Zody Trumps nose. It is believed that large demonstrations from the Urchin faithful are being planned for the bank holiday weekend.

A lifelong Urchin fan said.

'Romford, are you serious, they couldn't make a decent burger if they tried and their season tickets are free'

Well Helllloooo, did I hear someone mention takeovers. HMMMM, a while back Billyricay tried to take us over so they could get their hands on our massive fan base and Gloucester Park. We thwarted them of course but watch out Hornchurch. Romford are very very ambitious and will creep up on you to get their hands on your good players. They have none at Rush Green you see. All hump and hoof and arial bombardment.

Anything that is free is good! In the comfy chairs with the great and the good...and Mick Woodward and yer man Doug Ellis put his usual appearance in. But, £16 for a bottle of Pinot.. Bloody rip-off, despite tasty totty behind the jump in the McGregor suite.

Hucknall surprised me..and Grays methinks. Not dissimilar to the FA Cup final, except this time the right team won...on percentage of play that is.

You've got a bl**dy cheek BB.

Every ball that your defence play out forward comes down with snow on it.

And I've said this before.
