Allocations confirmed

Friday, 20 May 2005.

Following a meeting of the Leagues Committee yesterday, it was agreed to confirm the recommendations made by the four Senior Leagues with regard to the allocation of clubs between leagues for season 2005/06.

There was one significant change to the recommendation following the demise of Hornchurch FC. The new club, AFC Hornchurch were placed in the Essex Senior League (Step 5). This resulted in Maidenhead United retaining their place in Conference South, and Cheshunt retaining the place in Step 3.

It was also agreed that should Spennymoor United be expelled from the Northern Premier League next week, Rossendale United FC would not be relegated to Step 5.

The Committee also approved the promotion of 10 clubs from Step 5 with their allocations for season 2005/2006 confirmed as follows:

Fleetwood Town & Goole FC’s to Northern Premier Div One

Lymington & New Milton, Ramsgate & Walton Casuals FC’s to Isthmian Div One

Rushall Olympic FC to Southern League Div One West
