Hakki, Steer and Miller leave the club

No surprises there really although I thought he may have hung on to Danny until he found a replacement. I thought there would have been more names on this list to be honest.

Shame for Veli as he never found the form from before he left in 2002. Matty will be missed but sadly not for the right reasons. Eddie hasn't got it wrong yet though in terms of player comings and goings.

To be fair it is one couple that have complained, and not for the first time.

Basically the main points of the argument are that the lights shine into there house and that people have on occasions parked outside their driveway.

Not a lot we can do about the lights and I cannot recall anyone parking outside their driveway.

The only thing that we can do is to ask anyone working on the main gate to make sure people don't park anywhere that could cause a problem.

I think the only other comment was the noise and abusive langauge coming from supporters during and after games, but if you don't want noise from football supporters then don't buy a house right outside a football club!!

Abusive Langauge? At a football match!? Never...

Hmm so at the most 10 hours of annoying football fans but for the rest of the time a silent neighbour!? What is the problem! It's as silly as people who live near schools go on about the noise...hmm 9-3pm and the whole of the summer without any noise at all...barmy!

Spot on, Mal. People like that p*ss me off. Quite happy to buy a house near a football ground which was almost certainly there before they were, and probably pay a slightly reduced price because of it, yet then feel they have the right to moan about it. If you don't like it - MOVE. <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/mad.gif" alt="" />

Totally agree..severe case of moaning British syndrome. Maybe someone should reply to the paper.

Shame about Matty, although it was on the cards he's a really nice bloke (and so are his mum and dad)who hasn't had much luck this past couple of seasons, and said it would be hard to find a similar club at Sloughs level because of the support we've got.

Sue and Aide's daughter Kim is also gonna be upset - did Eddie think about this when he made the decision?

The Observer said more players will be leaving.

I assume Eddie knows who they are but won't tell them yet until he knows he can replace them?

That about sums up my feeling as well ARAAS. I don't think that Hakki would ever be the player he was again evcer since he was injuried early on in the season.

Miller wasn't ever going to score again fore the first team, fact! No mattter how hard he would try.

I didn't think that Steer was given much of a chance, so releasing him and thus losing cover at the back looks to be quite a dangerous decision in my view, especially if Eddie can't find anyone to replace him.

I assume that by getting rid of Danny, Eddie has either got a replacement in mind or he has changed his mind about using his previously preferred choice of playing a wing-back and will revert to a flat back four as used in the Bryco final and Worthing games.

I had a chat with Veli's dad before the Kingstonian game and because Veli's form had been well below his usual high standards, I asked his dad if Velli was still carrying an injury. He said no he was fully fit but he was feeling very disallusioned because he felt he wasn't being given a chance to recapture his form and he felt it very unlikely that he would be at Slough next season.

Also, because Eddie hasn't announced who else will be leaving, we can assume that these players were surplus to requirements regardless of replacements etc.

I suppose its all a vicious circle, players don't play well so they get left out, then when they do get to play they don't play so well because they haven't been playing regularly and so on. Veli has never really recaptured his earlier form which is a real shame, although his return did coincide with the start of a very good run last season. Matty never really found his form at Slough, although great for entertainment value he will be missed. As someone else said Danny never really got his chance. Best of luck to all three of them and hopefully they will all find clubs that enable them to get back on top of their game. Thanks for your efforts guys.
