A few midweek trips to Stansted or London APSA might temper the anger! Welcome to the surreal world and as for the refs and linos.

The league chairman mentioned on a previous thread that White Ensign because of certain matters to be dealt with would not be coming into the ESL before 2006/7.

By the way I noticed on the BBC Teletext that one of the White Ensign players (aged 25 don't remember his name) had been signed by Dagenham & Redbridge for next season.

And I wonder when the Daggers will drop their Redbridge bit now that there are both an Ilford FC and a Redbridge FC.

Over and out!

His name is PAUL BENSON hes been having trials at southend utd.

That's the one. He was in the Echo the other day. Has scored stacks of goals for White Ensign.

Word of warning. If you think Ref's you've had in the past have been crap.

YOU AIN'T SEEN NOTHING YET.

ESL refs are like nothing you will have ever seen before.Apart from them being laughingly poor, they have a curious affliction of favouring the 'underdog' (quite opposite to most leagues, where the big teams seem to get all the decisions).BE WARNED.The Refs like to wind the crowd up,and yours will be the only crowd they see all season,so they are going to make the most of it.

The only advantage you have is that you're an Essex team. With us at Enfield Town for the last few seasons we have had so may local decisons for local people that is was becoming a farce.Another curious phenomenon is that if you up the top of the league, you will give awy more penalties ,than you will get.Trust me.Its a weird and wonderfull world in the ESL.

Teams to look out for next season, will be Barkingside and Waltham Abbey.Portway was up front for Burhnam last season,if hes still there, they could mount a challenge as well.

Regarding away attendences, now Enfield Town have left. You will be looking at probably 3 teams averaging between 50-100 (Romford/Abbey/Barkingside)and the rest about 10-50 (plus whatever you bring).
