Rocky (Jairzinho)

I see on confguide national that there is a thread relating to interesting footballers names.

 

Rocky gets a mention courtesy of Nick Bell straying from confsouth forum(so inclined to think it is correctas it derives from Nick) that Rocky's name is actually Jairzinho Baptiste.

 

Now if we are lucky enough to retain Rocky, i really think he should just call himself Jairzinho-it must be gauranteed more goals, and i'm sure a few would buy a few MFC shirts with Jairzinho emblazoned across the back.

Always wondered whether Rocky was his real first name, I've checked this out and it's definitely true that he's really Jairzinho Baptiste. He's got a relative, brother probably, with a similarly Brazilian-type name. Something like Romalhio - bit odd.

Wasn't there a famous Brazilian player in the 70's called Jairzinho?

 

I think it's pretty cool as well, Legend, but a bit hard to chant when a goal goes in!
