No Comments from us, but then again the hospitality and everything that goes with was at Brentford club,

The grub after was second to know, Hot wings, scampi, chips, chicken strip, everything

The game itself, we come out of the traps early doors and won the game in the first 15 minutes, some of the passing and movement was second to none, to cracking goals,

However when the stormed calmed down it got a bit sloppy, we made a few mistakes within ourselves, and for a team 2-0 up at half time, we got an absolute rollocking, Second Half we had a lot of possession, but fair play to Ruslip Manor they never gave up and closed everything down, bit one dimensional for my liking as they looked to hit the tall centre half on every set piece

You were worse for wear? I just crawled out of the sack scratcher.........Manor, as for scum bags must be something in someones make up if you ask me. There was not one tackle in the game let alone bad one and off the pitch the Chairman and sec were two of the nicest guys Ive met in non league football. It was a great night on and off the pitch last night with no problems what so ever.........if I had a case I would rest it.

I am pleased that Abbeynut responded so diplomatically regarding previous postings on Ruislip Manor .. I totally agree that their committee were a pleasure to meet and extremely gracious in defeat.

My most memorable moment of the season was last night, having received the Millennium Cup , Pinnacle runs over and "shows" it to the " Away" end, the " Home " end and the far stand side fans aka F A Cup Final style ... except there weren't any fans ! as the Main stand accommodated the excellent contingent from Abbey without a problem. But, this was a special night and any captain fulfilling his dreams would want to have been in his boots I am sure .. so the celebration was just right .

For fear of repeating myself, Abbey have been a truly brilliant team this season and a tremendous credit to the League. We can be very proud of the way that they have conducted themselves in winning four Cup competitions and two victories over South Midlands League opposition is very tasty thank you. Abbey now keep the trophy in perpetuity as I do not think we will be around in another 1300 years time for the next one ... more's the pity !

Quite simple really, having read all about it in a Match Programme that gave the two teams as Ruislip Manor v Ruislip Manor and the Abbey Manager as Paul Sturrock .. what is three hundred + years between friends !
