were in the Ryman

Aye, but that site hasn't changed in days - it still has Hornchurch in the Conference South and Maidenhead in the Southern Premier. I just have a feeling that there's still changes around the corner regarding shifts to and from Ryman and Southern (apart from the obvious Hornchurch/Maidenhead situation)

the long and the short of it involves us, Windsor, Cheshunt and Northwood at this level and where Hornchurch go. according to the Urchins board, they're already in the Essex Senior League which leaves a hole in the Southern Premier.

Cheshunt look likely to get a relegation reprieve so it comes down to whether Northwood and Cheshunt come back to the Ryman while us and Windsor go to the Southern or vice versa.

The Essex Scenario, which involved Braintree and/or one of either Heybridge or Chelmsford (whichever is the most northerly) going to the Southern is the only other viable variant on the scenario.

Of course there's also the small matter of Salisbury appealing against their move back to the Southern...

Although this is available on the NonLeagueDaily site, so it's probably pretty much official now.

"A long meeting by the FA’s National League Systems Committee finished with virtually all the proposed leagues from Step 1 to Step 4 remaining as they were announced.

The exceptions are, as expected, with Maidenhead United remaining as members of the Nationwide South due to Hornchurch’s withdrawal and Cheshunt being reprieved from relegation from the Ryman Premier.

The committee heard requests from Salisbury City, Northwood, Chatham Town and Sittingbourne regarding where they had been placed, but all will remain where originally placed.

The ‘new’ AFC Hornchurch’s application to switch to the Ryman League Division One was rejected and it is expected that they will now apply to join the Eastway Essex Senior League.

The committee were also presented with a request from FC United to discover at what level of the Pyramid they would be allowed into should they go ahead with their formation.

FC United is a proposed club formed by disillusioned supporters of Manchester United who are opposed to the Glazer takeover at Old Trafford.

The difficulties with FC United would be the massive support it could well attract and where they would actually play.

However, FC United were informed that as a new club they would probably have to start off in the North West Counties League Second Division.

A good deal of time was also spent discussing the next stage of restructuring at Step 5 and 6 level, especially the formation of a Midland Division.

Initial thoughts are that this new division would stretch from Spalding United in the east to the Bristol clubs in the west and no further south than Brackley Town."
