Too right about HC and Reuben at East ham - they always made everyone welcome.

 

But their ground had to be seen to be believed. We once went there early in the season and I was pleasantly surprised to see that the pitch was green, instead of the usual desert-like moonscape. It wasn't until Reuben brought it to my attention that I noticed that, although green, there was scarcely a blade of grass on it, the vegetation being a variety of freshly-mown weeds!

 

The dressing rooms had holes in the walls that you could almost walk through, no heating or hot water - and the shed behind the goal that served as a clubhouse always looked as if a strong wind would see it off.

 

But the sheer enthusiasm of the people associated with the Club and who kept it going for as long as they did just couldn't be beaten!

fck me...everone's gone mad...jonno...the duck was on the other forum...this weirdo is squarkident who hasn't got over us hammering him in the FA Cup....

 

he actually is a closet urchin and has a thing for Billys sausage.....

very good, bet you won'thave time for that this summer what with planning your trips around essex. How exciting when the fixture list comes out. who told you about the nail salons uncle?

 

i was in there painting the walls......and they were short with the money....so i had my hands and toes done in red and white stripes....and i will never get waxed again thats a promise
