Well, onwards and upwards it is.

 

One good thing, from a personal point of view is that my Grandparents live in Burnham-on-Crouch(home of the Burnham Ramblers) so I can visit for a nice cuppa!

I'm sure the whole eastside crew will be welcome too!! <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />

Can't believe it! Everyone's already said what I'm thinking.

 

We'll just have to prove our metal, and "pay our dues" like the FA expects. It won't be a stroll.

 

But then.....considering we might not have had a club at all then ESL is a reprieve. I'll still be having a beer and enjoying myself on matchdays.

lol Raver, but I must admit, I thought we lost a certain "je ne sais quoi" when the 'mercenaries' arrived.

 

From now we have a manager who truly loves this club and has shown his dedication already. We'll have lads playing for 10 bob a match because they want to play for the club, and because they love the club!

And we'll love 'em all the more and we're gonna have a party.

One question do these places have clubs houses....just a thought!!!

 

Otherwise it will be down the offy for 10 crates of larger for each away game. Fck me these places are in for one hell of a shock...

I know Concord has a bar and think Bowers has one. Not sure if these places have burger vans though!!

Unbelievable, but as much as I hate to say it, it's not in my opinion unexpected. There is precedence for the FA giving this sort of ruling and it's not them that I blame. Gutted, absolutely gutted, from top of the Connie South to the ESL in one season.

I'm even more gutted for you now! I'll certainly look forward to my first Essex Senior League experience then!

 

Do you have any idea at all what sort of players you might have next year? Could you possibly keep the odd player from the squad you finished this season?

 

Good luck with this new adventure though. I hope you run away with it.

Might be you that's in for a shock, Bridgey - but at least you missed out on the delights of East Ham!!

But, on the bright side, they do all have bars as that is where most of them make their money - certainly not from gate receipts!
