Sawbridgeworth or Stansted.

Not sure what the mileage is, but Burnham is also a horrendous journey, especially midweek - which is when the good old ESL fixture sec tends to send us there!

As for walking it, it very much depends upon how much you intend paying your players and how that compares with what other Clubs are doing! We know what our budget will be at Romford - probably a nice round figure again! But, if the finance is there, the League title is also there for the buying! The real achievement will be to win it without paying your players and the Boro will be out to do just that!

Whatever you think about the standard of football in the ESL, the League is there to help clubs like AFC Hornchurch, Enfield Town, Ilford, etc get started and has also been ready to help the likes of Basildon and Romford keep going when they'e been unable to sustain life at a higher level. It hasn't got a bad record of ex-members either, with Canvey, Maldon, Ilford, Leyton, GWR and many more all having taken the opportunity to start small and progress at their own pace. And don't forget that Stansted picked up the FA Vase whilst in the ESL!

Good luck to AFC Hornchurch - it will be good to have you in the ESL, but it's very much in your own hands as to how long you stay there!!

The league shuts down for a mid-winter break over xmas and the new year so you will need to find something else to do to avoid the relatives.

Why? Surely as a 'newly' formed club you have to start at the bottom?

Same thing never happened to AFC Telford, did it?

I am truly gutted, yet another kick in the teeth.
