...for the Summertime blues..

But in the days of yore, when Romford first re-incarnated back in 92, we used to have a regular summer soiree down at Burnham on Crouch on a Saturday.

It was just a Romford thingy those days, as we had nobody around supporters-wise (apart from Pig island and we still hate them).

But, Saturday June 26 all meet in the Railway just next to Burnham station, then pub crawl down to the centre of town and fun and games.

I know that not everybody sees eye to eye, but if enough people come that is hardly a problem.

Also some of you lot will be on hols, but so be it.

This includes wives, girlfriends (both), no boyfriends as no poofs allowed, but seriously it used to be a great day out.

RSVP as to the date, and if a different weekend suits more people then so be it.

...forgot to mention, nobody is excluded from this proposed day out (apart from Pig island fans), a la Ricay, Chelmsford et al. In fact the more the merrier.

The train fare is minimal and if enough come together (sic), then group fare comes into play.

Should be a blinding day out.

Do you know the bast&rds at ONE GREAT EASTERN have done away with the gold card thingy that meant you could travel anywhere on the netwrok free at weekends including a partner (or someone elses partner) and kids if required.

 

I pay £2900 a year for a season ticket, and get treated no better than a little hoodie that bunks on for one station once every three weeks.
