I can't help myself.... I used to watch Siggy at Margate (when Jay played for them) and he was mustard... Still think he would of come good with a bit more time... but I guess time is not on our side... Good news about JJ, though I still have reservations about his abilities and where he will fair within the 'NEW' squad..!

We shoud applaud JJ's loyalty. OK, he tried a full time career, and good luck to him for that, but it didn't work out. His heart lies here at the Fleet. So does Skins and Macca's. These 3 are the heart and soul of Fleet, they play, not because of the salary, but because they love the club. When the going gets tough, and you are looking for players to roll up their sleeves and give 120% those are the 3 you would aways want in your team.

There may be better players in the squad, and to an extent, I hope there are, but you always need the "player who will spill blood for the team".

He never actually went full-time at Daggers though, did he?

Great news about him signing, given his improved performances towards the end of the season, and of course his general appreciation of the club and its history etc., which can be passed on to newer players in times of need.

As for Siggy, interesting to note that the wording on the official site is 'has not accepted the terms offered to him'. It seems strange that the club would have tried to convince him to stay, given that he had plenty of matches in which to score and never managed it, but there you go.

To his credit, he provided a fine goal-line intervention against Forest Green and a good pass to Jukebox for the first goal against Canvey. Not a great return from 11 starts though.

Local press have tonight described it as 'we couldn't match' an offer made by Lewes!

He's gone, why bother?

Because it gives me something to do in between revising for my A levels, which I am actually doing believe it or not!

Plus, if he ever reads this forum, he'll know what we think. Actually, perhaps that's one of the reasons he demanded more from Daish!!!!
