`Shots have release Giles, Clarke & Challinor.

Now I would fancy Challinor on Fleet colours - would probably want too much dosh.

Giles would be a useful signing particularly as he can play both up front and central defence but he would have a long commute if he still lives in somerset.

Giles would be OK although the Shots fans reckon he has declined greatly since he first went there.

I must admit having seen the Shots a few times this season I have not been that impressed with Mr Giles.

Left sided midfielder, has a good job in the city so can't commit full time.

Charlton have just released two reserve team players (Neil Mcafferty/Stacey Long) - both have had spells in the league and I think we could do worse. Probably also played in the same saide as Charlie MacDonald.

They haven't announced their retained list, I expect the new manager needs to see who he has got first.

I know the players at Gills have taken a 15% pay-cut, as part of relegation savings... So, with that said, it will be interesting to see who will stay or who will jump ship (contracts permitting)..

Nyron "Dave" Nosworthy and Hills have both left already.

Mama Sidibe wants more money and hasn't signed a new deal yet.

nyron is good, rate him quite highly. mama is a bit of a donkey, as for hills, no real opinion. indifferent. not good not bad.

Nosworthy is good, good enough to stay in the Championship.

 

I once saw BellHead Chandler with a Gills shirt that had Nosworthy 2 on it. A sign of true quality.

Regarding the Charlton two. Long is training with Notts County. McAfferty has returned to Ireland. They relaeased one other, Adam Gross - an 18 year old left back who would be far more likely to come to the Fleet than the other two.

Interesting to note, of course, that Sills is still there, given that I presume he's still part-time owing to his good job away from football.

Giles may not be a player of the calibre necessary for a title challenge or something, but if he performs as well has he did during his loan with us, I certainly won't be complaining. I agree that Challinor's probably a more appealing prospect though.

Brown is a top quality manager, probably the best outside the football league.

Giles would be a good addition to the squad. From what I remember of him, he was a good player both in defence and in attack.

 

Challinor wouldn't be a bad addition either.
