Flextickets.

An idea posted on Margate's forum. It actually sounds a great idea, especially for those shift workers like me who cannot make some Saturday or evening games.

 

"There is an idea floating around the clubs at the moment regarding Flexitickets. There are some supporters who cannot purchase season tickets either because of the cost or the fact that, like me, they work shifts and weekends. Flexitickets could be bought at any time and consist of a book of say 5 tickets, which can be redeemed at any match that the holder wanted to attend. They would be discounted the same as season tickets and would provide advanced funds to the club. Unlike season tickets they can be purchased at any time during the season so that people do not have a time limit to buy them. They could easily be sold in the club shop at home matches as well as through the club"

I would buy one, or more. For the obvious reasons. They could also give you your 12 quid back seeing as you had to pay to get to the club shop. Like alton towers do if you buy their card thing. I will not be buying a season ticket because of my shift pattern. These would be a good idea.

Could be a good idea,

 

I know a few supporters of other clubs who come to the fleet whne they cant make away games or their team is playing on a Sunday etc......

 

May encourage them to come more often

 

Also handy for the older supporters . I know one who hates cold , but would come to a few games if he is able to and could afford it. He is saying £12 is to steep for him so he will stop buying a programme whne he does come.

Cracking idea. I certainly can't afford a season ticket this year and sometimes access days to my daughter dictate I can't make every home game. I'd buy one, no question.

I'd also but a set or two, as I too cannot make all home games..! Certainly seems logical and offers flexibility to supporters, PLUS it will generate revenue at the same time... It's a win win idea, though I suspect the club not to use it..(sadly)..!

Perhaps this suggestion could be taken up with the club. Does anyone out there have any good contacts, Dave H?

Price them at £50 for a book of 5. £2 discount per game, but the club gets £50 up front to bank and get interest on. And it would guarantee that person attending at least 5 more games. As Number 8 rightly says, it's a win/win idea.
