New Badge?

No, you can have what you like on the badge, within reason.

I would have preferred a name like Hornchurch UFC rather than the pointless AFC prefix.

The "U" of course would stand for Urchins.

Just about every "new" club tends to go for AFC, which stands for Association Football Club (unless you are referring to AFC Sudbury, of course.

its not our choice daggsy....it has to be sanctioned by the Essex FA and then the FA....

I understand that Jonno went for 'racing club urchins' and jen wanted 'inter bridge flamingo'

bridgey wanted 'bridge ham' and the geordie immigrant wanted 'toon harriers'....

emh's dad on the other hand would have settled for bridger'pool'.....

the urchinetts of course wanted....

errr.....okay...we'll leave that one....

I still fancy Hornchurch UFC - but they are still looking for a name for the new bridge at Wembley Stadium - so how about suggesting that they plant some trees along it and call it Bridge Avenue?

way the FA is going, i can see them calling the fecking thing Wayne Bridge.

anyway. regarding AFC clubs, AFC Wimbledon rather famously stands for "A Fans Club"

i couldn't give a feck what we are called, we'll always be the hornchurch, the mighty mighty hornchurch.

I always thought AFC stood for Athletic Football Club, like Charlton.

Athletic Football Club being the name given to those teams with a running track around their pitchs i.e Newport AFC and Charlton back in the day??

Newport were reformed as well after the old Newport County side went bust in the late 80s.
