Gutted, but proud........

Recommended Posts

Silence being approval I have to say how upsetting today's news is. Me and mine have been proud Urchins supporters since just after the Tranmere game (so we're relatively recent). We've always been made welcome at Bridge Avenue and have made some good friends on the Riverside (despite being shy and retiring by nature). We even made a few away games this season (no mean feat for your average family of five!!) and particularly enjoyed the away game at Weymouth. We'll miss TC and CT who readily put some of their passion back into our team - they'll be sorely missed - but we plan to be there next season, if that is at all possible. <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/applaus.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/applaus.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/applaus.gif" alt="" />

Hi Silentbutdeadly,

I match your sentiments exactly my friend.

Nice to hear from a fellow riversider i'm normally out numbered on here by our friends from the eastside.

whereabouts do you sit? myself and the lad and a bunch of friends/kids sit near the dressing room end so to speak (the middle section).

Sad day yesterday but it's more about the community than winning everything in sight.

We'll be back. Go on you Urchins !!!!!

Wow this must be the riverside crew thread or something..nice to know were not alone on the riverside. Im fairly new to supporting the urchins too, dad n bro being going for bout 2 and a bit years now but I started supporting the boys "full-time" back in november..good timing eh?! So this will be my first full season, and despite it being at a lower level I cant wait! It goes without saying that Tony and Carl will be missed..enjoyed many of there humourous remarks mid game..but this is a new start for everyone and Id like to wish John Lawrence the best of luck for the forth comming season..and many more!

Hi Sexy Tink,

Perhaps we should keep this a riverside only thread (that might start something) nice to hear from you lets see if we can make a bit more noise next season, coz the "posh seats" can be a bit quiet at times. <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" />

Wicked! I'll bring my bros drum!! Yeah we can be on the quietside sometimes..not when lil Jon Hogget's there though. I'll get the boys singing louder next season! <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/pineapple.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/orange.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/mango.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/greenapple.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/redbanana.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/strawberry.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/yay.gif" alt="" />

This does seem to be a bit of a Riverside thread: my lot sit near the half-way line so we can yell polite abuse both ways and still hear the Eastside male-voice choir.....

We do make a bit of noise ourselves, though.......

this is a bit scary really -- we sit near the halfway line too, we'll probably find out we already talk to one another under our "normal" names.

We definately need more noise next season though.

Keep up the good vibes Silent and sexy tink.

PM and anyone from the Eastside are always welcome back on the Riverside as a lot of them used to sit over on our patch, Harry included!!.

It is good fun to see all the Eastsiders jumping about and making a lot of noise keep it up lads!

Yes, but just lately the walk over there has been doing him in. Found it was taking him longer and longer to get to the bar after final whistle.
Plus, the Eastside terrace is a refuge from Ginger Dave ! <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />

Big HI to Mala,

Now there's a point where's ginger Dave, We hav'nt seen him in ages.

There used to be some top class exchanges between him and Harry and not forgetting the fella who used to sit on his own at the back.

I think his name was paul, he was there when i first started to attend - a bit of a character shall we say.
