In terms of shape, it's a total rip-off of the recent new badges of Arsenal and Leeds.

 

Interestingly, Gills have been toying over whether to switch to a badge of said shape, amongst other designs, or to keep their current one. The prospective designs were in the Kent on Sunday a few weeks ago.
