Oh dear the new seating plan at The Gate doesn't look too wonderful. In fact I think the last one was better. Thought this was supposed to be an improvement! What were they thinking?!

They have jsu gone for the cheapest possible option. at this rate they ar going to make Southwood like a fine stadium.

It would have been nice to see a better set of seats there. I'm a little disappointed, i mean it must be costing a fortune to rebuild but it's going to look like it didn't.

I think the seats would look good better if they were to have more than one bank. Two banks would fill most of one side making it feel more compact, particularly as one side will be open completely where the old stand used to be. Don't forget these are only TEMPORARY.

Yeah that sounds good having two lots. Sorry didn't realise it was temporary, i've been out of the area for a while and haven't really kept in touch with it all i'm afraid to say. I stupidly thought they were doing it on the cheap and keeping those seats, duh!

What do people expect? It is supposed to be a temporary stadium. To be build anything other than the bare minimum required would be the height of stupidity and a waste of money.

A problem with those seats is they are very low down and wont offer a good view of the game.

After knocking down HP I was kind of hoping that something better would be going up.

I think the stadium is going to be a big disappointment and thats even before they turn the HOTEL into FLATS>

Oh here we go again - something better WILL be going up when the planning issues around the commercial development are resolved. This is a temporary, interim solution that gets us back playing at home next season. Most of us would be glad to sit on a stone or the ground to achieve this, if that would pass the health and safety people. Personally I think the only place to be at any match is standing behind the goal and singing my rocks off anyway, so who cares if the seats are not aesthetically appealing to some, I don't. They look OK to me anyway.

I think the whole fact that we can see the progress and start to believe in our return home is the most wonderful, uplifting, fabulous, happy thing. Those that continually pick holes in everything cannot surely love the club and want it home, can they?

For goodness sake, cut out the moaning.

<img src="/forum/images/graemlins/applaus.gif" alt="" /> Good call. Margates had long term issues and people do feel down about it...Im not entirely suprized that people (including myself) find things to point out to bring the mood down, but thats just the way this situation has gone.

I cant wait for the stadium to be finished. Had a walk past earlier this afternoon, lorries doing relays. Lots of action. If they keep at that pace, the stadium will be finished in no time.
