Re Tako, without wanting to sound cruel I think he has found his level with Ramsgate. Unless he has improved greatly since his Margate days he was not up to the standards and demands of the Doc Martens Premier. Re Bill Edwards, Ramsgate are welcome to him if they want him. He has been a great and loyal servant to the club for nearly 10 years but is well past his prime now as some of his performances showed this season. JK is another matter. He is a class act and we will do well to keep hold of his services in Ryman Premier. I believe Welling are keen to capture his services! <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/ooo.gif" alt="" />

Thats not how i remember him we all sang his name during a match if we were not doing to well and more often than not he would come off the bench and score!!(who could forget that goal he scored against Burton) <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" />

 

You have to remember he was very young when he play for us and is physically much stronger and experienced now.

Yes I am as anti Tako as i am pro sodje. I watched him in many reserve games, and thats all he would ever amount to. Respect to him for being so prolific for Ramsgate, but he was nothing special for us. (and certainly not as good as Manche)

Lay off Bill. The last few games he was totally on form and was a towering presence on the field. I for one cannot wait for his testamonial match, as I think it will be a blinder.

 

As for JK, Margate legend, and long may he remain so. The Welling thing is just another anonymous rumour.

 

All this 'we are pinching your team' thing is just wind ups born out of the fact that there is no active footy going on and some folk get their rocks off by coming on here and winding us up.

 

I will not accept any of this stupidity. If an official announcement of any signings occurs, all well and good. In the absence of any of that, BOG OFF.

Going back to the annon post immediately below mine further up. Where was it that I slagged Tako off? Didnt even mention him!Though having now mentioned him I am of the same opinion as others on here in that he may be good enough for the the Kent League but further up I fear his form will deteriorate. Besides which,the reports I have had from RAMSGATE fans are that he wasnt as hot as his goals made him seem. Too many goalward-bound shots over he bar. Just think of how many goals then, he could have got. I would like to stress that those remarks about his shooting were from Ramsgate fans and not from me.

p.s. He would never in a million years have got a job at Scunthorpe.

I would be very careful about slagging off Tako, or he'll set his brother on you!

He does miss a lot of chances but at least he'll be in a position to get them. Don't see the Rymans 1 as all that fantastic, Cray nearly made the play-offs in their first season, we should do well enough.

And sorry about saying there are two good schools in Ramsgate - obviously there are three, forgot about Clarendon House.

I used to work in ramsgate. Believe me if you are or were a chatham house lad then you have nothing to gloat about. You see you may be brainy but 80% of you have no common sense.

As for tako. I dont think we are slagging him off but expressing our opinions. He may have done well for you but it remains to be seen how well he'll do in ryman 1. Not a swipe at all chatham house pupils ex or current. Many of my friends went their but dont compare ramsgate to margate. I never had a bad education at Hartsdown and I came out with the grades to prove it.

When I worked in Ramsgate some of the things they'd say and do would raise a smile on your face. I appologise if i offended you John.
