Daish desperately needs at least 9 new players, Drury and Lovell are the only 2 quality players at the club capable of playing in a promotion chasing side. It worries me when Jimmy Jackson is given a new deal, he's not the player he was and I can't help thinking it was a sentimental decision.

Saunders yes, I admit. But Skinner, though he performed well last season couldn't play league football. I believe only Lovell and Drury could.

Disagree on Jacko. He's a quality player and has given a hell of a lot to this club. I'm glad to see he's staying.

And you seem to have forgotten about Macca, Jay, Skins, Proths and Pullen to name but a few of the players who we are holding on to. With them plus Jukebox, we have an excellent nucleus to a side who could do very well next season under Liam and Alan.

As for Lovell, you must be seeing that through rose tinted specs, because there are so many other players at the fleet who are better than him.

Playing league football isn't their concern. If they hold their own in the Conference that's good enough for now. If all the players in the Conference could play league football, they wouldn't be playing in the Conference, surely...?

Jacko can be an asset. Skins will still be an important factor in the nucleus of the sqaud.

 

Number 8, what I meant was that we have the beginnings of a good team with those players. Bolster the squad with positions around them and you could have a very good side.

 

As for Lovell, well you all know what I think of him already, so there's no point in wasting time posting it.

he hasn't got much footballing ability. Why do you think he was sent to Welling? I wouyldn't go out with him if he was the last man on earth. I've never even spoken to him, so how he can have knocked me back? As for being talented, in what, the art of tantrum throwing when you get taken off?

I remember the sainted Andrew have more than one of those at the start of season when he was subbed in just about every match, I don't recall you commenting that he should be thrown out.

I agree you are entitled to your opinion, but others are entitled to a bit of respect at the same time. The reason he went to Welling was because he asked to, he started the season really well, getting a man of the match award I believe, but after a injury/suspension Skinner had played well and it would have been unfair to drop him. He deserves credit for wanting to play football, and when he came back by the way he played a blinder.

And from what I've heard you have spoken to him before.

Yeah fair enough Jukebox may have thrown the odd tantrum or two, but he always shook the manager's hand. I don't recall Lovell doing that.

 

It's not got anything to do with whether I fancy Lovell or not. I never said that Lovell should be thrown out. I'm not surprised that Daish has kept him, but I don't rate him as highly as some of the other players, like Proths, Skins, Jay, Macca and Jukebox.

I would say he is the most naturally talented player at the club, and he's young so you can't expect him to be perfect attitude wise. Daish rates him highly and I would expect that he will play regularly next year and come on heaps. Would you honestly be prepared to admit he is a quality player if this happens? It does seem you have a grudge and also you didn't answer my query that you have indeed spoke to him?

I have spoken to most of the players in the bar, and I get on well with Macca, but I have never, ever spoken to Lovell.

I have never spoken to Matt Lovell in my life. I spoke to a lot of the players in the bar after the last game of the season and was having pictures taken with them. I had pics taken with:

Macca

Jay

Gleds

Ben S

Skins

Jacko

Jukebox( on the pitch)

Listen darling we don't want to see your photo album or hear you blaspheme. We just know its true and your opinions on Mr Lovell cannot be taken seriously as you have a personal dislike towards him. I'm not prepared to keep firing back posts at you and argue, but I think most reading this would agree that this is the case.
