So, (keeping everything crossed) it looks like we may be in the Southern League next season. Put simply: we're going to need to bring in some players. The projected league should be very strong. This has surely got to attract players. The opportunity of playing for Town in several local derbies against some good sides and in Step 4 has got to encourage those who were reluctant to ply their trade in the ESL to sign up. I can't wait to see some better quality football down at the Brimmobeu!

 

(Between you and me, I'm not sure Chopper's good enough to make the step up - bring back The Cat!)

A colleague of mine is a Dartford fan. He says the league isn't all that strong and reckons the four new teams should all comfortably finish in the top half. Not that I want anyone to start getting complacent or anything (well, not us anyway). After all, there's a long time between now and the beginning of the next season which will give everybody time to strengthen squads.

Not sure what that says about the keepers you've played with then!

(Billy, I was just trying to find a place for you in the side - it's about time someone put some pressure on Chopper - and he still hasn't scored!)
