Today's meeting at the FA "recommended" that all nine champion clubs and Enfield, as runners-up in Ryman 2, be promoted to Step 4. This recommendation now needs to be ratified at a National Systems Committee Meeting to be held on Thursday 19 May.

This is the only sensible way out of the hole that the FA dug themselves yesterday. Excuse me while I have a lie down - the FA have done something sensible!

 

One variable remains - anyone know anything about this National Systems Committee? i.e. are they normal people? Do they always go with FA recommnedations? Whatever happens, it will be far too late to recall teams for play-offs by the 19th, so, touching wood and crossing everything, we are, I think, home and hosed.

I really cannot believe how it has all got this messy. You win your league and the ground is good enough you should be automatically promoted, no questions asked. But to knock a team back because their seats were not numbered, how pathetic is that?

When you read past the headlines there was a few other points they failed on but they were more serious like tanoy not heard all around ground & players tunnel not strong enough.

To be honest old son, I have never denied your boys were the best last season...table never lies. However to be totally on your side, I feel that you have been fuc**ed from ar$ehole to breakfast time on the promotion front. A few people unfortunately on here and other sites have misconstrued by feelings.
