From the FA website:

The Appeals lodged by Lymington & New Milton FC and Walton Casuals FC against the decisions not to award the clubs a Grade E category have today been heard by The Football Association.

The Appeals were both upheld. This now means that there are nine champion clubs eligible to be considered for promotion to Step 4 of the National League System.

As only eight places are available, a play-off match will need to be arranged and further details will be announced tomorrow.

Man thats sick on the club that gets knocked out, pretty cruel on that club too, A whole seasons effort wasted. I hope that Enfield Town are not one of the clubs concerned, As you are too big for level 5. The two clubs that failed their ground inspections first time round should be the ones to play off.

not a great lover of breakaway clubs as you know. But having been to the diss town, enfield derby, and your match at burnham I can see that you ARE much too big for level 4/5 ,,,,Ryman /southern league prems is where you'll most likely settle.

Why should the 2 teams who failed the initial grading inspection be the 2 teams to play-off.

As the FA have ruled they should have been given a grade E from the inspection which means they should be treated the same as the other 7.

As an AFC Wimbledon fan I will be hoping that Walton Casuals are one of the 8 who do get promoted along with Enfield Town who's fans deserve to be watching higher level football....

I await the appeals from EFC, Didcot and Winchester with interest as they had already been told they would be involved in play offs.

I also await those teams involved in the play offs saying they cannot get a team up as they have already released their players having been told they were promoted.

I also await someone else either reproducing this post or saying the whole thing is a farce.....

What about waiting for appeals from the seven inital champions who were told that they had been promoted?

If I was offered a job and then susequently told I was not wanted, then I would seek some form of compenastion rather than just letting the matter go.

i think the FA have made a total **** up of the promotion of non league clubs, its a mess every year !!!!! whats the answer to solve it though ? i guess the FA will just make it up as they go along but then do they really care about non league football ? not exactly a big money spinner for them are we.
