Don't forget last seasons Mark and Michael Bartley.

So in total:

John, Terry & Tommy Reardon

Harry & Tommy Wells

Les & Jim Hartridge

Bobby & Tony Dell

Alec & Roy Nairn

Roy & Barry Davies

Paul & Peter Holsgrove

Mark & Michael Bartley

Giving us a total of eight. Not bad.

The Bubbs are cousins BTW, so can't be included.

There was also the O'Sullivan brothers ( Micky & Brendon) , but they didn't play at the same time.

I think that the Bloom brothers also played in the 60's ( Ronnie and his goalkeeper brother - Gary ?)

Bernie

I am a recent contributor to this web site being an exiled Slough supporter.I fondly remember your partnership with Peter Lowen in the 60s. Where did Peter go when he left Slough?Where did you go when you left Warrenfield? Can you recollect whether Bert and Peter Angell ever played together in 50s(I recollect my late father talking about this pair but unsure whether they both played for STFC.

Alas, "Bernie Gogan" is one of my usernames, another one being "Chris Mullen"......get the drift?!

I don't know what happened to Bernie after Warrenfield, he was probably still there when I played for Slough Grammar against them, but that's as much as I know.

That era spawned Slough sides laced with ex-Slough Grammar players due to the Bob Gibbs connection. I later went on to play with a lot of them at Old Paludians, but never a mention of Bernie that I recall.

Sorry to disappoint!

Thats a shame, Bernie was a teacher at warrenfield not a pupil. As an old Pal you may recall Kenny Messenger who was at SGS in Mid 60s who I believe represented England schools.

Also that weird art master Romeo Di Girolamo whose brother, i think, made a brief appearance for Slough

Yup, knew Ken well through Old Pals. As for Romeo, he was one of the most amusing parts about being at SGS. It was his brother who briefly played for Slough. As I recall a bunch of Italians played local football around Aylesbury and Romeo was involved in that as was his brother.

By the way I knew Bernie was a teacher, but I don't recall him running any of the Warrenfield sides that I played against.

I take it Bernie Gogan was one of your 'heroes'. Did you go to that match v Hungerford when Slough won 14-1, Lowen scored 6, Gogan 4, cant remember who scored others.

Romeo was probably the only amusing part of SGS. I remember he always used to roll up his sleave before administering slipper and utter some phrase like 'A flick of the wrist and a twist of the arm'. i suppose beaky Viveash was amusing.

Did you play in same team as Rod Lister then?

My abiding memory of Slough Grammar was that one evening

Berks,Bucks County Schools under 16'S played another county whose name escapes me,the score was 13-0 and some young chap called 0sgood, got 12 of them.
