You don't stay all day at home with a dog - i'll be going home at lunch time to take her for a walk. She wont be left at home for more than 4 hours alone - so no need to worry about that.

Perhaps you could train Phoebe to take the team sheet from the manager to the referee one hour before kick-off. A specially adapted bag attached to his/her collar would assist. If not, the teamsheet could be placed in a stiff tarpaulin bag and the dog could carry it in his/her mouth.

 

That would be handy for the days when Carlisle are playing in Southern England and hertsblue has a prior engagement elsewhere.

Just thinking about it for a moment, if you could train Phoebe to do the team-sheet thing, the club could save £50,000 a year by dispensing with the services of your man. Tight fiscal policy etc.

 

I've noticed that hertsblue also takes the teams' sandwiches from the boardroom into the changing rooms 5 minutes before full time, presumably having agreed an appropriate amendment to his job description. A small saddle-like affair on Phoebe's back could be manufactured to undertake that task although the assistance of the Chief Steward might be required to unload.

 

Is Phoebe a poodle? He/she could go far.
