WENT TO THE GROUND LUNCHTIME TODAY. VERY GOOD PROGRESS, BUT HEARD FROM AN OFFICIAL SOURCE THAT THE PITCH IS TO BE GROWN FROM SEED, NOT A GOOD TIME OF THE YEAR TO BE DOING THIS. IF THIS IS SO,HAVE MY DOUBTS IF THE SURFACE WILL BE UP TO IT BY THE START OF SEASON. THIS IS NOT DOOM AND GLOOM,JUST FIRST HAND INFO.

I too was at the ground and word from our groundsman was that no decision had yet been made concerning seed or turf. Seed will almost certain ly not have us have a pitch ready in time unless someone knows of a quick growing seed. Turf would be better though I imagine more costly. As it stood yesterday, and as far as I was told no decision had yet been made.Am sure things will get sorted concerning this and no "doom or gloom" should even be mentioned concerning this. There must be plenty of experts out there that know the best route to go and am sure the club will make the correct decision after consultation with them.

No cause for panic with this at all,i.m.o.
