It's all over!

Well I have to admit I'm glad the 2004/5 season is finally over.

 

Fleet seemed to show a lot of early promise, produced some 'hot form' in patches then fell away at the end. The Terriers started very well, then hit the suspension/injury wall but finished with a flurish i.e. eight wins and a draw out from the last nine outings. Ironically the draw against Colchester (they equalised in the 93 minute) cost us a play-off place.

 

The excellent form of our young players promises a really bright future for the club if we can hold on the them. No less than eight have progressed through to the 1st team from the academy this season and several have been called up for under18 international duties.

 

I'm still glad it's over though - 'failure' I can cope with it's 'optimism' that gets you in the end.

Our season ran out of steam at the end: only 4 points out of a possible 21 in an overcrowded April & you saw one of those at York.

 

How well the squad shapes up in the summer with full time contracts on offer will be crucial. I'll keep you posted.

 

Good luck to the Terriers next season & keep the Fleet flag flying up North.

Yes. Rest assured, until somebody else starts posting better quality clips, or the Conference TV ones come out quicker, I shall continue to post them and I'm more than happy for people to copy them to disc.

Now I know FF's political stance I might even take to adding a few rabidly left wing political comments in with the usual verbal garbage that accompanies the clips, just to wind him up a bit. <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />
