JP on Dovere website

Though in no way disparaging, i see JP compares Dover with Margate(in a favourable light-bigger club, better ground and other reasns etc.)on a Q and A section on the Dover site.

(if i was any good at cutting and pasting i'd put the comments on here ut maybe someone better than me could do so).

Can't really think of better motivation for KP, Garl Lever and CK than his comments;but again in fairness they were not openly critical of MFC and were only in respnse to a supporters `question

But Dover are the bigger club in terms of fan base etc!! He also rightly points out that as we stand here and now - Margate are the better playing side.

When he came here he obviously thought that this club was the bigger and better club else why would he come here. When the going got tough he got going. This club is on a par with Dover and I wont say its better or worse but as for JP he changes his mind more than the wind changes directions. This club was good enough for him to move from Dover to us but now its the other way round. Things got sticky and he panicked and left. Smacks of "when it suits". He is a business man so to some extent I can understand that. If Dover go further down the leagues however be sure he will desert them in the same way and seek his fortune elsewhere. Sorry, but thats the way I see him.

Cookie,

Can we sink any lower!?! Maybe its a masterplan to ensure we play in the first FA vase at the new Wembley!?!

I reckon we'll spend a couple of seasons tops in div 1 and start looking at progressing from there. The conference does seem a long way off now though and from looking at the play off games the standard has got better too.

Sorry mate but thats my opinion of him and his way of dealing with things. Its all down to experience of the man I am afraid. If he does good by you this second time around then all well and good. Good luck to you if that be the case and I will then eat my own words. No disrespect meant towards you fans or your club. Its just my personal opinion of the man. Yes, I am still bitter by his sudden departure but nowhere near as bitter as the timing of it. I still remember! That didnt seem too loyal to me.

Message to Dover fans, the time to be most wary of JP is when things are going well on the pitch. I suspect he knows he is on probation at the moment.

I didn't like him on a personal level long before he quit us. For example, the way he conducted himself at the Cardiff game, like he was Billy Big Bollox, was appalling and just annoyed members of the media.

As it stands at the moment, the club was saved at the end of December when JP and his associates came in, we have payed off the outstanding debts and are up to date with the CVA. We are having new floodlights fitted this week to replace the sub standard ones we have. The board is looking really strong and sponsorship of games and the club is looking good.We are delighted that Jim is back at Dover, a lot of us were not happy that he left in the first place, as to why he left Margate I do not know that one but I can imagine he played a very big part in keeping the club going when he was there.

Jim P always knew that Dover were a bigger size club.

But, at the time, when he came to you, there was a fallout between him and the then chairman.

He went to Margate hoping to build something new and to be fair he did. He helped your club reach the Conference - but, of course, it looks as though you have paid a heavy price for going up too quickly.

The set-up of a club must always be in place first.

But I believe your club are making a huge mistake at the moment in keeping Chris Kinnear on. He is on a basic salary of something like £45k. That's a hell of a lot of money for a club in Ryman Premier that have huge cash problems and low gates.

Don't want to be critical of your club - but I'd be worried to be paying out that kind of money to a part-time manager at this level.

Is it? I think you'll find it's pretty close to that!!!!!

My source cannot be named because that person would be in trouble with CK and club if it was revealed.

I find it hard to believe that the club in its recent predicament would have committed to anything like that amount for the manager especially when players were not being paid. Yet another anon stirring the pot with a negative post. If you have the guts to register before posting and to back up your comments with proof then I will eat humble pie with egg all over my face. I doubt it somehow. I am tired of all the anonymous posters we get on this forum. Surely the site administrator or someone can change the set up so that anyone who posts on the forum has to log in first. Yes we may still get crank/false names from those too scared to reveal their true identities but it might cut down the crap as they may not be bothered to register. The only other way of dealing with the problem is just to ignore all anonymous posts (which I haven't done here but will do so from now on).
