It puts us in the Southern League (OH NO I HEAR WARREN CRY!!!)

 

I think it would mean a bit more travelling and could cause a few headaches for the end of season walk but I really can’t face going to Essex on another cold Tuesday evening.

But our record in Essex is miserable and it would be an interesting adventure, something different from the norm. I'd look forward to it, on the whole!

I know the FA meeting is scheduled for Wednesday but there may be a delay in when things get finalised because of the balls up in the Unibond League

hmm whilst the long journeys do look a little daunting, i must agree that another season with our curse in essex does not fill me with joy....

The distances below are approximate and in walking terms you can usually reduce them by taking the most direct route as opposed to the fastest which will always be using motorways.

 

On this basis though there’s a 2 in 3 chance of getting a distance longer than the trek to Worthing! At least there should be some nice places to stay on the way to Tiverton!! Bring it on!!!!

My understanding is that the line up predicted there could not possibly happen. Salisbury were switched from the Southern League last season and can't be asked to go back this year.

The possibility of no trips to Essex is appealing. The longer trips o make for a bit more atmophere etc but this season has been nice being able to leave home late and still get to most games in plenty of time. Swings and roundabouts I guess

Sorry all, but I'd be delighted if we go into the Southern League.

Many more "local" matches for me, and not a 200 mile round trip whenever I can get to a match
