One of the areas Andy Ford did well for us was in signing quality young talent like Hatch and Drury from lower league Kent sides, Alan Tait's name was bandied about on here long before he was trialled and turned down prior to top scoring for Crawley this season.

For all the names being mentioned on here I think our best chance of signing quality players is to steal the best players from other Kent clubs.

Any chance of getting an agreement with Arsenal to have Dennis Bergkamp on loan ? He could always nip back if required by them at short notice....saves him getting bored on the subs bench, and he would get match practice, and he wouldn't have to fly !!!

 

.....and Les Ferdinand might be looking to "semi" retire...there you go..... a short term answer to our goal drought...bet Les would score a few ??

I suppose he would have to be southern based as I don't suppose those based in the north would want to come down here....

Sadly Hatch and Drury are a rarity these days, I don't know why, but there seems to a dearth of young talent in Kent sides at present. Perhaps they're being snapped up by Academies, players like McClements, and Gradley who then drift down the leagues. Cloke from Dover may be an exception though, and would be competition for Justin Skinner

Dion Dublin would be my choice - He is an old team mate of Liams, and suits his style of play from what I have seen so far.
