Eastleigh beat Leyton 2-1 in the Ryman play off final this afternoon so you have a nice visit to deepest, darkest Southampton next season.

I went to Maldon, who beat Uxbridge 3-2 on penaties after being 2-2 aet, and are therefore promoted.

 

Ian Cousins played for Maldon, also Simon Overland (ex-Grays and Dagenham & Redbridge), Dean Parratt (Dagenham FC and Billericay), and Gary Howard (Dagenham & Redbridge and Purfleet).

 

If they are allowed to switch into the Isthmian from the Southern League, they will be in the same division as Billericay and Braintree (most unfortunate that GB did not win promotion), also Heybridge and of course Redbridge.

 

The only player who really impressed was Dean Parratt (who also used to play for Braintree as joint-player manager)

Well done to Maldon. From the Ridgeons League to possibly the Ryman League in just two seasons. That is a great story and nice to see the Essex sides doing well!!
