in case the gentleman i am reffering to reads this forum

 

i was in broadstairs 2 weeks ago and was stopped by a man that i had never met before, i had my margate shirt on and he said "are you a margate fan"????????? well after checking my shirt i recognised the fact that i am he says i've got something for you and took me to where his car was parked.

When we got there he produced a margate programme for the 1962 game against millwall fa cup 1st round and said that he wanted me to have it so i asked if he was sure and gladly accepted, anyway i just wanted to say that if that gentleman reads this forum and he knows who he is, THANX

 

by the way can someone tell me the result of that game

Gary, is this correct? I can't check the history site at the moment, as it is not currently available, but I remember going to Millwall and saw Cyril head our goal in a 3-1 loss, which I am sure was a replay, as we drew at home.
