GazzaBTFC
After the event, lets look at who really is to blame for our Tuesday night loss. Before last Saturday, all Leyton required was to win the game against Chelmsford 2 zip...Now we all know relations between us and the "homeless" ones (cue a song written by Sting) but if you consider their performance in an another crucial game against Yeading, I think we're all seeing a pattern occuring here... We all know that we prefered to meet Hampton and it's fairly known that if Hampton lost their last game (which they did) the equation would be as previously stated. Now following the comments of some CCFC supporters, Chelmsford were on the roll of a revival...So what happened? Were they beaten by a superiour team, was the team tired and Leyton grinded them down...or was it more sinister... We shall never know but it does seem strange...

GazzaBTFC
It is indeed and we will uncover it...next season....
Barry Scott
hang on, are you saying that should Hampton have lost to already relegated Tonbridge then all Leyton would need to do was win 2-0. Surely no-one could have predicted that Hampton would lose that game?
GazzaBTFC
True, but strange powers were at work and we all know there is no love lost between us and CCFC...It is worth wondering why they "rolled" over so easy against Leyton...(and against Yeading)...
Kevin M (CCFC)
Yeh, sure is odd the way you lost so easily at Braintree...and Staines...oh yes, and then against us....but, you apparently needed the points...?? Hmm, makes you wonder doesn't it...perhaps a thought that play-offs were the easier option for you.....
Dilbert
Why does Kevin always turn the point around, he never comes up with anything original ?
Kevin M (CCFC)
Just my simple musing dilbert following on from old Gazza's posting....but my apologies if a bit too difficult for you to follow.....
Barry Scott
so this is all a big 'keep Billericay out of the Conny South' conspiracy?
GazzaBTFC
I dunno Kevin...I think I saw some CCFC supporters making sacrifical offerings of burgers from the Blues cafe to the evil god of football misfortune. Of course, I could be wrong but you know how these things go...a sacrifice here, an incantation there and lo, Leyton are through to the play offs and we're losing 2 zip. Of course there is a price to pay and it is a heavy one...the god of football misfortune has an account that requires settling...You cannot slate his thirst for sacrifice by just offering burgers, cheese dogs in a bun and steaks in french sticks...When the final account is presented, it is CCFC that has to pay... ...So, your new ground...? Any more news....
Kevin M (CCFC)
.....having nearly sacrificed myself on a couple of undercooked offerings at Yeading one cold night back in January prefer not to think of burgers and the like, thanks.....anyhow, didn't they turn you over 4-zilch at Nl early season ? Last I heard, cos I'm not a local, Melbourne Park was still there....
GazzaBTFC
Melbourne Park...still there but no closer...story of CCFC's life...

Guest
YOU ARE!!! REMEMBER ME I hate "I told you so" but a couple of years ago when BTFC were making moves on Gloucester Park in preparation for "League status". I warned you all and made certain predictions about where you would be now if you put their eggs in the stadia Management basket. I even asked you to look at what these unrealistic and unpoplular ambitions did to Margate, who also got in to bed with stadia management. I implored you to protest, complain and save your club, fortunatly for you it did not end up quite as bad as I predicted. Mainly because a knight on a white charger came in at the last minute and saved the club from financial ruin. This ruin almost came about because the previous owners policy was employ lots of players on a big wage at the start of the season, come christmas if it dont look like they are gonna win the league sack em all. Then stadia management came in with the promise of a basilricay style chelsea village. pound notes popped up in peoples eyes and they forgot about their football. I wont say I told you so. I would say lucky you got out when you did and thank god because, but for the grace of god and our King their goes Canvey. BTFC, GAZZA and Co remember how you slagged me off for being right. I know, it is hard to take being wrong about that and living with so much frustrated ambition. You have to admit you have not had a bad season considering you almost did not exist, another two or three years and you will come out of this league and if you can keep things together you will recover. One day when you reach the dizzy heights of the Conference, (although it must seem a long way away) you will get to play the likes of Canvey again one day. Until then the Essex intermediate is a good and reasonable level.
Barry Proudfoot
Jesus if playing the 'likes of canvey' is what you get in the conference I'd rather stay where we are. Theres much nicer grounds and supporters to visit
GazzaBTFC
MOB, Alice, whoever you are...Have you a sense of humour?..Take your rant and ego somewhere else and stop raking over old histroy. What have we got to thank you for...you didn't save the club from closure, the arrival of Steve Kent did... Jeez, some people want credit for everything.
