I can't say that I was overly impressed with his brief sojourn with us, and coupled with the truly woeful performance (and decision to play two big men up front) away at Barnet, I think it's more a case of better the devil you know.

I'd sooner keep Sigere... and that's saying something because he has an awful lot to prove still. IMHO.

Quayle has had more clubs than Nick Faldo but I think if you look at where those clubs are located you might notice a bit of a theme.

Not when Sigere hasn't scored for us in eleven appearances for us so far, and Jefferson netted a couple of goals in five games (and before anyone mentions Siggy's 'goal' against Scarborough... don't make me laugh <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" />).

That said, of course, it would seem as though Jefferson's inability to settle at any club is a problem not worth gambling on.

As much as I have said about Roy in the past, I'd like to see him sign a new contract this season, and show Daish exactly what he's made of.

I agree. Release Sigere but retain Roy ( who is still contracted to the club in any event). Give Roy with appropriate support, say, two months to prove he can regain the habit of scoring. Only then should his position be reviewed.

Roy's average since he joined us is a shade over 14 goals a season.
