Before he had his Irish jaunt he looked a quality player.Remember he was badly mis-led by his agent (the reknowned John Fashanu, now there was a rare talent!) He is a flair player and God knows we could have done with one of those towards the end of last season. He is also capable of putting the ball in the net, something old Moussa didnt seem to quite master!

 

As for Che? Well we could do a Hell of a lot worse, at least we know he is capable of scoring goals in The Conference.

Tos was a quality player, but could he stand the pressure at this level again? We know that moussa couldn't.

 

As for Che, he's welcome to stay at margate until hell freezes over as far as I'm concerned. Yeah, ok, he knocked in a few goals, but towards the end of his time with us, he just didn't seem to want to do anything. He also didn't have the pace.

I do actually agree with you on that. Of course, we'd ideally like someone better than Che, but as I've said before, no-one's bettered his 12 Conference goals from 2002/2003 for us yet.

Yeh Che should be a no-no imo. Would love to see Tostao play for us again but I kind of doubt he'd ever be able to get back any of that form he first had for us. The way forward is by bringing in new quality young talent, plenty of youngsters get released each year by the top clubs. Re-signing old players is a dodgy game.

 

As for Lee Elam, well he's probably got some quality but I don't like him. <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/angry.gif" alt="" /> But that will change if he becomes a Fleet player. <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" />

Or how about shots/headers from Jay too? It seems very petty to moan about Che managing to convert penalties or to score more than once against Woking. Would you have prefered him to have missed or for us not to have been awarded a pen in the first place? Yes it would be great if every goal was a 30 yard volley and the goals spread out equally between games, but in real matches it just doesn't happen like that, especially not at Northfleet. Be thankful that he managed to score what he actually did. kmj.

Furthermore, without his goals we would have been relegated that year. Finally, he is, I believe, our tenth all-time top scorer, which surely warrants more credit than many are prepared to give him.

Neither would I if we could do better than him, which should be within our grasp. However, it does annoy me when people keep running out those 'penalties' and 'Woking' arguments (even when done in jest, Slarti! <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />) Perhaps Palace and Yeovil fans will start slagging off Johnson and Jevons because such a high proportion of their goals are penalties?
