enfield are in a play off for promotion - its on anothers site . Although he hasnt yet updated the fact that the mighty Rovers of Great Wakering will not be relegated !!

Last season was not a "promotion" it would have been a side ways move to another level 5 league.

 

Anyway, we learnt a lot about chicken counting, but enjoy the moment, and let's see what the reality is in August.

As there are only 8 places available for promotion to the step 4 leagues, the 7 champion clubs will be promoted and the 2nd placed clubs will playoff for the remaining place.

OK they have to play one play off match (home to Winchester) but if they win that they then have to play Didcot away!....The winners of that then go up.

Could have been harsher, Jim. Had either Walton Casuals or Lymington & NM not failed their inspections, Enfield wouldn't even have got a play-off. Contrary to everything we all thought, both the FA and the Ryman League had agreed that the second placed Ryman 2 club would only be considered if there was sufficient space for them and that automatic promotion was never likely to be an option.

Well done to Potters Bar for getting your ground passed. You must have worked wonders because at the MCC match there was clearly alot to do. Good luck next season. Who knows we may end up in the same league. That would have to be the derby games.

Thanks, Mr. H. We did work wonders and surprised many people - not least of which were the ground grading committee!

 

Obviously, we don't have the support (and therefore the number of volunteers) that your club has, but it shows what can be achieved when people really want something bad enough and it is planned properly.

Seriously, this is fantastic news. Looking forward to next season already. No offence to ESL clubs but the same old grounds was getting rather mundane. Here's to visiting some new grounds, playing in a full size league and a new chapter in ETFCs continued development.
